One must visit Rao Kano Xobo (meaning 'House of Medicinal Energy')

Center of Ancestral Medicine in order to understand its uniqueness of scope and heart when it comes to healing. In a way of introduction I can testify that it took me a dozen years of revisiting the jungle and working with different maestros before landing in Irapai, Pucallpa, in the embrace of Maynas family.

Before discovering Rao Kano Xobo I have dieted in Iquitos and Paoyahn with Mahua family, maestro Bejamin and Guilberto Mahua, as well as in Santuario Huishtin on the Boiling River with Enrique Paredes. I’ve done stints in old Pablo Amaringo’s maloka guided by a local medico and stayed with Cielo in Restinga who always hunted for best maestros to work with her groups. Earlier this year I had a privilege of working in Moyano Centre in Tingo Maria but it is Rao Kano Xobo where no matter what I do and how hard I fail do I find safe harbour for my shipwrecked vessel and a helping hand to make reparations and patch up torn sails. Life can be tumultuous and true friendships form through ordeals; this testimony comes at the end of eight years of fairly hard trials and tribulations in which I lost my wife and went through tough times, always finding support in the Maynas family who, once having taken you into their fold, never abandon you as if you were for all intents and purposes a part of their family.

Cesar Soimetsa has been my maestro for four years now, having resuscitated and brought me back to life after the passing of my spouse. I owe him my present day sanity and well-being to a large extent. His ability to clear heavy energies is well-known and he is one of the few maestros who are sought after by high-profile Peruvians holding positions in regional office as well as Russian businessmen that land in private jets for three nights of consecutive ceremonies and take off first thing in the morning. The centre, however, stays as humble as ever due to the fact that Cesar charged flat fee for the ceremonies he holds, regardless how well-off his patrons may be.

Rao Kano Xobo offers much more than traditional plant dietas. It offers kambo frog medicine, massage therapy, bone correction, bufo healing sessions, etc. as the centre is open to practitioners of different medicines including but not limited to practices encountered in the Amazon. Maestro Cesar and Edith are both studying Quantum Psychology, for example, and apply its methods in their ceremony work which primarily deals with transformation of energy. Ayahuasca is a unique umbrella allowing space for different healing modalities to work together and compliment each other and Rao Kano Xobo is, likewise, a unique medicine centre that adopts, accommodates and grows by opening its doors to healing practitioners of all walks and recognizing the value of their contributions. It is a place to make connections and establish genuine friendships that span time and space both physically and spiritually. It is a medicine hub with many spokes spinning away from the common pivotal centre connecting too many maestros and individuals to list here. Some of them include maestros Sonia Tara & Roberto Castañeda, maestro Eric Menesis & Diosa, doctora Inna Sergeeva, maestro Ivan Suarez & Bima Saldaña, don Rogelio, etc. etc.

I cannot recommend Rao Kano Xobo highly enough for the sheer value of experience I had lived through over the years always connected by invisible umbilical cord extended to me by the family. It is the energetic connection that is felt pulsating and tugging at one’s soul, sometimes gently, other times persistently and irresistibly. Rao Kano Xobo is not a holiday retreat from the world; on the contrary, it is a place to face the issues that stop one from living a fullfilling conscious life and go deep into resolving them. True medicine is like a red pill offered by Morpheus to Neo in Matrix: do you really want to know what reality is? How deep do you wish to travel down the rabbit hole? The true medicine will show one both the paradise and its opposite. It will show one’s potential and what holds one back. It will give one tools to work things out and inspire one to take a dive because the heights are equally matched by the depths and without plumbing the depths one can never soar into heavens.
